Assistant Estimator / Painting Foreman
Location: Denver, Colorado | Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Salary: $60,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience
About the Position
BCC Painting, Inc. is an established commercial painting contractor specializing in multifamily, commercial,
and hospitality projects throughout the Denver metro area.
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual with some construction estimating experience,
strong computer skills, and a good understanding of commercial painting operations.
The primary responsibility of this position is estimating and bidding. The selected candidate will also assist
with project management and serve as a painting foreman when needed. We are not looking for a senior
estimator, but candidates must have some practical estimating experience and be comfortable using
computers, construction drawings, and estimating software.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating and Bidding - Primary Responsibilities
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and painting scopes of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for painting and wallcovering.
• Assist with preparing estimates, bids, and proposals.
• Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare change order estimates and additional work pricing.
• Maintain estimating spreadsheets and project documentation.
• Assist management with reviewing bids and project budgets.
Field Supervision and Project Support
• Assist with managing ongoing commercial painting projects.
• Serve as a painting foreman when needed.
• Coordinate painting crews, materials, and schedules.
• Monitor job quality, productivity, and progress.
• Communicate with general contractors and project superintendents.
• Identify and document additional work and change orders.
Required Qualifications
• Some construction estimating experience is required. Extensive experience is not necessary.
• Experience in commercial or multifamily painting.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates.
• Good understanding of painting materials, labor requirements, and application methods.
• Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Willingness to work both in the office and on construction sites.
• Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with PlanSwift or similar estimating software.
• Familiarity with Procore or other construction management software.
• Previous painting foreman or supervisory experience.
• Experience with commercial and multifamily construction projects.
Compensation and Benefits
• Annual salary: $60,000-$65,000, based on experience.
• Paid vacation: One week (5 working days) after completing one year of employment.
• Paid sick leave in accordance with Colorado law.
