Retail Assistant ManagerThe Retail Assistant Manager is accountable for the successful day to day operations of the store. He or she supervises the store team members, training, ensures communication between all levels of the organization, maintains a clean and well organized facility, and develops/implements store protocols to optimize efficiency in all areas of operation.The ideal candidate has 1+ years in management. Previous experience is highly preferred. He or she must have strong administrative and organizational skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong computer skills, and a working knowledge of the retail industry.We value honesty and integrity.COMPENSATIONDepends upon skills and experienceRESPONSIBILITIESTrains, manages, and disciplines staff as neededAssists in creating weekly schedule for the store within budgeted hoursAssigns work to team members ensuring a balance of work between team membersCreates and maintains procedures for store operationsMaintains, and enforces all company policies and proceduresManages store supplies and places appropriate orders with vendorsProvides administrative assistance as neededFollows all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codesPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience preferredExperience in supervising and managing staffExcellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staffStrong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environmentNeat, clean, and professional appearanceExcellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsHighly professional and dependableStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)Must be able to lift 50lbs
