This position is intended to be a long-term succession plan for the Maintenance Manager. The hiring manager, Christian, is looking for a strong maintenance professional who can grow into a leadership role over time. The current manager is highly skilled in controls and PLCs, and they are looking for someone with the potential to eventually backfill that position.

The maintenance team will consist of 4 total employees including the manager once this position is filled. The plant has moved toward a much better work-life balance environment. While they run production every other weekend, Process Technicians typically handle minor issues. Maintenance is only contacted when more significant repairs or troubleshooting are required.

The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing environment and have strong troubleshooting capabilities. A highly skilled mechanical/hydraulic candidate or a candidate from a millwright background would also be considered. If we identify an exceptional Level 2 Maintenance Technician, the team is open to reviewing those profiles as well.

Hours: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) | Every other weekend coverage/on-call support as needed

Must Haves

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, and power distribution
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings
• Experience performing preventive and reactive maintenance
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and industrial safety procedures
• Experience with electrical test equipment (voltmeter, ammeter, ohm meter, megger)
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production equipment
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations when necessary

• PLC troubleshooting and controls experience
• Technical/vocational training in electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems
• Plastic manufacturing/process experience
• Millwright background
• Strong hydraulic systems experience
• Servo drive and motion control experience
• CMMS planning and scheduling experience
• Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement experience
• Leadership experience or desire to move into management

Day to Day

• Troubleshoot and repair extrusion and manufacturing equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules within CMMS
• Order replacement parts and coordinate with vendors as needed
• Support production uptime and reduce equipment downtime
• Escalate complex controls and PLC issues when necessary
• Mentor and develop junior maintenance technicians
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
• Support plant operations during on-call and weekend coverage rotations
