About the Role:

Middle Tennessee Internal Medicine is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Nashville practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love making patients feel at ease, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Answer multi-line phone system and route calls to appropriate clinical staff
• Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in EMR system
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
• Manage front desk operations including filing, faxing, and patient correspondence

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting preferred
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software
• Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
