Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Process Engineer to support production operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce cycle times, and support daily production activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for daily production operations and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze production performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and cycle time.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, maintenance technicians, and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Support tooling, mold, and process-related improvements to maximize production output.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support new product launches, process changes, and production transfers as needed.
• Assist in evaluating manufacturing equipment and potential automation opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or production operations.
• Experience in leading or participating in process improvement initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with injection molding, including molds, tooling, or high-volume production equipment.
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, or assembly processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean manufacturing environment at a global company located in Seymour. The role requires onsite presence to effectively support production operations. The work environment encourages collaboration and provides opportunities for professional growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensburg, IN.

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
